Assessing your readiness for change


The following questions have been developed to help identify your readiness for change. By answering these questions, you will help me to understand how motivated you are to make a change and what barriers you may have to overcome to make these changes.

Below are 32 statements, split into two categories, regarding losing weight and exercise. Each statement is either a positive or negative thought that might occur to you when you are deciding whether or not to lose weight or start exercising.

Consider each statement and score them from 1-5, where 1 is strongly disagree, and 5 is strongly agree.
